Shelby Monitoring 7 Actives COVID-19 Cases, 2 New Positives Reported Monday

Shelby mayor Steve Schag sent out this COVID-19 press release on Monday

The Shelby City Health Department is reporting 2 new cases of coronavirus. The two individuals who have tested positive, work at facilities outside of the City of Shelby. The Department has documented a total of 67 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak began in March. Of that cumulative number, 59 have attained recovered/resolved status. The Department is currently monitoring 7 active cases - 5 of which are home quarantined and 2 are hospitalized. There has been 1 COVID-19 death documented within the City of Shelby. Citizens are strongly urged to observe all COVID-19 protocols and Health Department guidelines including: sanitization , social distancing, and face coverings.
