Mansfield City Council is looking to enter into a contract with a company to try and collect late and unpaid water and sewer bills that is owed to the city.
Council President Cliff Mears says in total there is more than $4 million owed to the city. Mears says some are from people who moved away and businesses that went out of business. The range of money owed is as low as $15 to as high as six figures. The average bill owed to Mansfield is $1,500 to $3,000.
Council will vote on the contract in October.
