St. Peter's Names New Boys Basketball Coach

MANSFIELD – (September 14, 2020) – Mansfield St. Peter's High School Athletic Department is pleased to announce that Mr. Michael Barrett will be our new Head Boys Basketball Coach for the 2020-2021 season. Coach Barrett served as the Spartans boys junior varsity basketball coach for the past three seasons, where he developed a strong rapport with the players, parents, and fans.

Mike is eager to take on this new role and be a part of the rich tradition of basketball at St. Peter's. As a former Spartan, he is honored to be able to lead our boys basketball program.

Mike plans to bring excitement to our program by hosting a "Midnight Madness" practice to open up the 2020-2021 season, which will be live-streamed on the St. Peter's Spartans Facebook page. He also plans to engage our elementary and junior high students with a renewed focus on youth camps and player development with the support of our student-athletes.

Coach Barrett with be the 17th head coach to lead the Spartans, succeeding Joe Jakubick, who led the Spartans for the past six seasons.
