Ohio Parents Need To Report Positive Student COVID-19 Tests To School

Governor Mike DeWine says beginning next week on Sept. 8th, parents and guardians should notify the school within 24 hours of a student testing positive for COVID-19. The school will need to report that within 24 hours to the local health department, which will they will then report to the State health department each Tuesday. There will then be a breakdown by school or school district each Thursday by the Ohio Department of Health.

Schools or school districts will need to appoint a COVID-19 coordinator to report the information to the local health department.
