Richland County Commissioners Bond Refinance Plan Could Save $1 Million

The Richland County Commissioners say they could save taxpayers more than a million dollars under a bond refinance plan. According to RichlandSource.com, the plan is in reference to bonds issued to pay for the county jail and wastewater treatment plant back in 2014 and 2015.

Interest rates have been falling over the last 10 years, plus the county, last year, received it's highest rating ever, which was a AA.

Commissioner Darrell Banks said, the chance to save this kind of money does not come around very often.
