A redesigned blue print of the new Ashland Fire station will see the price tag reduced alittle.
RichlandSource.com reports, the original cost was $3 million, which has been trimmed down to $2.7 million. The City's 2nd fire station, which will hold up to 5 vehicles, will be built on the corner of Mifflin Ave and U.S. 42.
Work is expected to start next month and Fire Chief Rick Anderson hopes it will be open in June of 2021 next year.
