Close to a third of the students in the Mansfield City Schools will begin the year learning online.
Superintendent Stan Jefferson told RichlandSource.com, that more than 1,200 students have registered for the Tyger Digital Academy.
Students will be taught online from teachers within the school district, but the board of education also has approved two contracts for more online learning.
The cost of those contracts combined is around $108,000.
Mansfield City Schools will use a staggered start schedule by grades, which will begin on Sept. 1st.
