Mansfield Votes 5-4 Against Declaring Racism A Public Health Crisis

Mansfield City Council President Cliff Mears cast the deciding vote Tuesday, as City Council voted 5-4 against adopting the resolution of declaring racism a public health crisis.

Mears said his decision came from his day to day contact with people of different cultures and races and feels people in Mansfield work so well together.

Mears went on to say we have open communication and invite each other into our homes. He feels the problems we have with race relations in the city of Mansfield is not at crisis proportions.
