Shelby Reports New COVID-19 Cases, 2 Hospitalized Among 8 Active Cases

Shelby mayor Steve Schag released a COVID-19 update on Wednesday morning ( the press release is below)

The Shelby City Health Department is reporting 2 new cases. The Department has documented a total of 44 individuals who have tested positive for Covid-19 since the outbreak began in March. Of that cumulative number, 36 individuals have attained recovered/resolve status. The Department is currently monitoring 8 active cases - 6 are home quarantined and 2 are hospitalized. There have been no Covid-19 deaths documented within the City of Shelby. Citizens are strongly urged to observe all Covid-19 protocols and Health Department guidelines - social distancing and face coverings.
