Mansfield Fire Department Responds To Blaze on Lexington Ave

The Mansfield Fire Department responded to a fire Monday afternoon just after 2 pm. at a vacant home on Lexington Avenue.

Fire Chief Steve Strickling said when they got to Lexington Ave. they could see the smoke. He said the fire started in the back, went up the side and into the attic.

RichlandSource.com reports, 18 firefighters worked in shifts to battle the heat an smoke.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the blaze is not known, but an investigation is underway.
