Blue Jackets Tortorella Named Finalist For NHL Coach Of The Year

Blue Jackets head coach John Tortorella is a finalist for the NHL's Jack Adams Award, which goes to the Coach of the Year. The NHL released the list of finalists yesterday with Tortorella joining Bruce Cassidy of the Bruins and Alain Vigneault of the Flyers. Before the season was paused due to COVID-19, Tortorella and his staff navigated through a string of devastating injuries to put the Jackets in the playoff hunt at 33-22-15. Tortorella has won the award twice previously in 2004 with Tampa Bay and 2017 with the CBJ.
