Beginning today (7/13), the Ohio State University Marching band is opening its registration for tryouts for the upcoming season beginning today. Musicians who have not been a member of the band before must register before Candidate Days start on August 14th. Any current student at Ohio State or Columbus State is eligible to register along with other institutions participating in the Higher Education Council of Columbus. When tryouts begin, band hopefuls will be judged on their marching fundamentals and ability to play songs like Hang on Sloopy, Fight the Team, and Buckeye Battle Cry.
