Riot Damage At Ohio Statehouse To Cost Over $150,000 To Repair

The Capitol Square Review and Advisory board says it will cost just under 160-thousand-dollars to fix damages at the Ohio Statehouse. Officials released information on the repairs yesterday, with broken windows and wooden millwork among the highest-priced items. The damage happened in late May when a peaceful protest later turned violent, and rioters began breaking windows, light poles, lanterns, and benches at the building, which at nearly 160-years is one of the oldest working statehouses in the country. Also included in the repairs is a recent cleaning of limestone walls and pillars that were marked by protesters with palm prints in red paint.
