OSU Suspends Voluntary Sports Workouts Due To Positive COVID-19 Tests

Ohio State Spring Football Game

The Ohio State University is suspending voluntary workouts for men's and women's basketball, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, and football. Officials made the announcement on Wednesday, saying the decision came after an undisclosed number of student-athletes had tested positive for the coronavirus. OSU said the students who tested positive will now self-isolate for 14-days and receive daily check-ups from Athletic Department medical staff. Voluntary workouts resumed on campus in early June, and it appears the start of fall training camp scheduled to begin July 13th will be pushed back.
