A severe heat advisory is being issued today for all of Central Ohioand most of the western and southern parts of the state. Forecasters expect temperatures to again be in the 90s on Thursday with high humidity pushing the heat index to 100 degrees or higher. The advisory is in effect from noon until 9 p.m. and residents are advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in cool indoor areas, and check on relatives or neighbors who may be at risk.
