The city of Mansfield has taken it's first step in the process of upgrading it's Water Treatment Plant.
RichlandSource.com reports, the Board of Control approved city engineer Bob Bianchi's request this week of $40,000 for a law firm to draw up the paper work to start the bidding process.
The total cost of the project will be around $35 million and likely will be a mandate from the Ohio EPA, due to a notice of violations.
The project is expected to be put in front of city council on July 21st or next month.
