Some of the athletic facilities in Lucas are getting an upgrade this summer.
Athletic director Taylor Iceman told WMAN, Bob Wine field, where the Cubs play football is getting a whole new surface, as 15 tons of sand and dirt have been brought in and new sod will be installed.
Inside for basketball and volleyball, the Cub Cave had some leaking issues fixed and the floor sanded and painted.
The total cost for both projects is just over $330,000. Both are expected to be ready by the start of the school year.
