Former Ohio State Men's Basketball Player Sentenced To Jail For Fraud

Former two-time Ohio Mr. Basketball Greg Simpson is heading to jail for selling fake driver's licenses. Allen County prosecutors confirmed yesterday that Simpson was sentenced to 30-days in jail, four-years probation, and 80 hours of community service after pleading guilty to one count of tampering with a record. Simpson was indicted last December for falsifying driver's education certificates to juveniles while he was working at Lima Middle School. Simpson was named Ohio's Mr. Basketball while playing for Lima Senior and later was dismissed from Ohio State in 1994 after being arrested for assault.
