Ashland County Commissioners Anticipate Cuts to 2021 Budget

The Ashland County Commissioners recently met to look ahead at the 2021 proposed budget, which they anticipate will need cuts, according to RichlandSource.com.

Right now, revenue for Ashland County is projected at just over $11 million dollars for next year, while expenditures are forecast to exceed $15.5 million dollars.

Ashland County Sales tax for June was down 16%.

The county does have a carry over balance for 2021 of around $1.8 million, which means the proposed budget would need to cut just over $2 million dollars for a balanced budget.
