Lexington Council Member, Former Substitute Teacher Indicted

A former substitute teacher at Lexington and current member of Lexington Village Council, has been indicted for allegedly disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, according to RichlandSource.com.

43 year old Erin Underwood was indicted on 3 counts, one count of which is a 5th degree felony, and if found guilty, could face a maximum of 12 months in prison.

Lexington schools said they stopped using Underwood as a substitute teacher, once they were made aware of the criminal complaint against her.

The Lexington Village administration is gathering information to see if she could keep hear elected seat, if charged with a crime.
