Andre Drummond Exercises Player Option To Remain With Cavs Next Season

Two-time All-Star Andre Drummond is staying with the Cleveland Cavaliers for one more season after exercising his player option on Tuesday. Drummond was traded to the Cavs at the deadline last season and announced yesterday he would honor the fifth year of his five-year 127-million-dollar contract he signed with the Detroit Pistons in 2016. Drummond could have opted for free-agency but instead will make just over 28-million dollars per the terms of his deal. Drummond is a three-time NBA rebounding champion and averaged 17-points, 15 rebounds, and one-point-seven blocks per game last year.
