An accident involving a Mansfield Police officer nearly two weeks ago, has been forwarded to the law director for review.
RichlandSource.com reports, charges have not yet been filed, according to Mansfield Municipal Court Records from the incident that happened back on June 12th, but it has been under review by the Highway Patrol.
The report said, the Police officer was responding to a call and was traveling on East 1st street with lights and sirens on, when the cruiser collided with a car, driven by a 22 year old female, who was turning left onto East First.
The Dash cam shows the officer was traveling around 55 MPH when he crested the hill and collided with the vehicle.
A witness feels the female driver may not have seen the cruiser either due to tall grass at the intersection.
The driver said she did not see traffic before entering the intersection and does not recall hearing a siren.
