City of Mansfield Looking To Purchase New Computers, Price Tag of $295,000

The city of Mansfield is looking to buy 100 new computers, which would have a price tag of just shy of $300,000.

Mansfield City Council President Cliff Mears says right now, many computers are outdated and more people have had to work at home during the pandemic.

Mears says the proposal is to get a loan from a bank and software licensing is a part of the cost too, which would see the city purchase 30 laptops and 70 desktop computers.

Mansfield would pay $63,000 per year, for a span of 5 years.

The vote is expected to happen at Council's next meeting on July 21st.
