Ohio Policing Changes Including Psychological Testing, Bias Training

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine unveiled the state's ambitious plans for police reform this week. They include mandatory psychological tests, bias training and use of body cameras. The biggest policing change in this proposal is the mental health exam to enter the police academy, followed by earning a peace officer certificate. DeWine says some officers in the state don't deserve being in a position of trust. His plan also includes the banning of chokeholds, unless a life is in danger.
