- All registered Ohio voters can expect to get absentee ballot requests in the mail soon. Secretary of State Frank LaRose says one-and-a-half-million-dollars in federal funds will be used to send these forms to nearly eight-million Ohioans. This move has been made for the past decade, and doesn't send a ballot to voters. LaRose says no state tax dollars were used for the mailings and they should arrive around Labor Day. The last day to register to vote in the General Election is October 5th.
