Mansfield City Council is set to meet Tuesday and one of the items on the agenda, is a resolution to declare racism a public health crisis.
RichlandSource.com reports, Jean Taddie, who represents Mansfield's 6th ward on council, is sponsoring the resolution, which also requests Richland Public Health make a similar declaration and partner with the community to create a task force or committee to address the issue.
Council will meet remotely due to the pandemic and the meeting will be streamed "LIVE" from on the city's facebook page.
