Susan Vander Maas is owner of Doc’s Deli, 424 Glessner Avenue, Mansfield. Doc’s has been serving the community since 2007.
Susan was born in Galion, Ohio and is a graduate of Galion Senior High School. She attended Ohio State University’s Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster and received a degree in Floral Design & Greenhouse Management. Susan has experience in the graphic design and printing industries and well as software development and business management. She has helped launch as well as owned several start-ups. Susan has 2 talented and lovely daughters, both designers, one in the auto industry and one in the hospitality industry. Her husband is a certified Toyota sales consultant at Graham Auto Mall.
Susan believes that the variety of businesses she has been involved in, managed or owned have provided her the experiences that have helped her grow Doc’s into a successful restaurant. She also recognizes the importance of community involvement and has served on local Chamber and Y boards and committees as well as presiding over or being a member of other local clubs and organizations. Susan is adamant that a commitment to providing outstanding customer service is the secret to lasting success for any business.
