The body found in the Kokosing river on Sunday has been identified as a missing 40 year old man from Mt. Gilead.
RichlandSource.com reports, Jason Taylor, was reported missing back on May 24th.
The Knox County Coroner's Office has not yet confirmed a cause of death, pending the full results of the autopsy, which could take several more weeks to complete.
Mt. Vernon Police Chief Robert Morgan said the investigation remains open at this time.
