Mansfield City Council Tuesday is expected to discuss Mayor Tim Theaker's decision from last month to eliminate non - emergency overtime within the fire department, to help manage the city's budget during the pandemic.
The move, according to RichlandSource.com, has been criticized by the union that represents local fire fighters.
That discussion will take place at 6:40 pm Tuesday during a safety committee meeting.
Also on the docket is a streets and parks committee meeting, before Mansfield City Council meets, which will be done online and has been since the start of COVID-19.
