Mansfield City Schools 5 Year Forecast

Mansfield City School's Interim Treasurer Jill Smith said the district is projected to spend more than it brings in over the course of the next 5 years. RichlandSource.com reports, the district will spend nearly $2 million more this year and $5.7 million more than projected revenue in 2021.

Smith said part of the problem is the state's cut in funding, which was more than $560,000. Smith said the district would not be in bad shape had the virus not impacted funding from the State of Ohio.
