The Richland County Commissioners this week said a projected $2.5 million drop in general fund revenue is forecasted due to the pandemic.
According to Richland Source.com, Commissioner Tony Vero said his gut feeling is it could be around 6%.
Vero told WMAN,as of April, the county's 7 major revenue sources are up, over 3.5% and up 7% on the sale tax side.
However, those numbers are for sales through January in Richland County because they track 3 months behind.
Vero said, they won't see the sales tax effects during the pandemic of March, April and May, until June, July and August.
