Richland County Board Of Elections Approves April Primary Absentee Ballots

The Richland County Board of Elections this week approved 897 provisional and absentee ballots from the April Primary Election.

RichlandSource.com reports - 712 absentee ballots arrived after April 28th, but were post marked by the April 27th deadline.

There were an additional 155 ballots that did not make the postmark date of April 27th.

There is still one race to be decided locally, that's the Democratic race for Richland County Probate Court Judge, where it was deemed to close to call back on April 28th, as Kirsten Pscholka-Gartner received 148 more votes than Joe Jerger.

The board of Elections will meet next Tuesday, May 19th to certify the vote totals.

The winner between Pscholka-Gartner and Jerger will face Republican Kelly Badnell in November.
