Tuesday May 19, Ashland Public Library will reopen doors with limited hours

The Ashland Public Library would like to thank you for your patience and understanding while our building has been closed in compliance with the State of Ohio’s Stay-At-Home-Order. We are happy to announce a plan to resume limited services beginning next week!

Starting Tuesday May 19, 2020 the Ashland Public Library will reopen its doors with limited hours and services. At this time patrons will be able to pick up holds, place holds, and return items. The usage of public computers and the ability to browse for items will be unavailable at this time.

Limited Hours:

Monday: Closed

Tuesday – Friday: 1pm – 6pm

Saturday: 10am – 3pm*

Sunday: Closed

*Special Hours for those vulnerable to illness: Saturday mornings 10am – 11am

Placing Holds: Holds on library materials can be placed a variety of ways, such as; using the online catalog found at www.ashland.lib.oh.us, sending an email request to publicservices@ashland.lib.oh.us, or calling 419-289-8188.

Picking up Holds: When a hold is available for pickup you will receive a courtesy phone call from a library staff member along with your usual notifications. Please allow one (1) business day for available holds to be processed. Please note that wait times for items may be longer as all materials will come from the Ashland Public Library Collection as we are not receiving shipments from other libraries at this time.

Returning Materials: Items can either be returned at the outside book drop (during open hours) or you may bring them inside the building to be placed in a designated area.

Please notice that these changes are temporary and subject to change in accordance with state and federal guidelines to ensure the safety of both library patrons and staff. For more detailed information and for updates please visit www.ashland.lib.oh.us.
