Mansfield City Council Approves $58,000 for Water Treatment Plant Repairs

Mansfield City Council this week approved $58,000 to Allied Technical Services out of Cincinnati for needed repairs to Mansfield's Water Treatment plant.

Council President Cliff Mears said, a tunnel that goes between the water treatment plant and pumping station was clogged with calcium carbonate, which was building up and hadn't been cleaned out for about 10-15 years.

This resulted in the boil advisory that took place around the 1st of the year.

A bypass was put in at the time and work needs to be done to clear the line, which is mandated by the EPA. The work will start next week and needs to be complete by June.
