Governor DeWine Says State Coronavirus Progress Not Ready To Open Daycare

Governor Mike DeWine says the state is not yet ready to begin re-opening daycare centers and other childcare facilities. DeWine said yesterday that the risk of the children unknowingly carrying the virus home to an at-risk adult is still too high at this time. Daycares are currently operating in a limited capacity, with only the children of first responders and health care workers allowed. Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther responded to the governor's announcement, saying he is meeting with Columbus Public Schools to discuss providing resources to parents who need childcare as they return to work.
