Full time employees in Ashland County could possibly have their hours reduced due to the pandemic.
RichlandSource.com reports, the Ashland County Commissioners approved legislation to amend the county's health plan, so full time employees can work a minimum of 27 hours, rather than 30 hours. The Commissioners told departments they need to cut 10% from their budgets due to COVID-19.
Commissioner Denny Bittle said, it protects health insurance and gives flexibility to the offices that are making cuts.
