Richland County Auditor Pat Dropsey told the Richland County Commissioners this week, it's too early to start making budget cuts due to the pandemic.
RichlandSource.com reports, Dropsey made the statement during the meeting with county elected officials, who were in the meeting to talk about financial concerns in Richland County due to COVID-19.
Dropsey said we will have to be patient and somewhat conservative with our spending. The county's general fund relies on local sales tax.
Richland County did have a carry over of roughly $ 5 million entering 2020 and $1.3 million dollars in its' rainy day fund.
