Discussions are underway by the the Richland County Republican Central Committee to appoint a replacement to Ontario City Council, after 4th ward Councilman Dan Zeiter passed away earlier this month.
RichlandSource.com reports, the person chosen will serve out the remainder of the 4 year term and the Committee has until late May to make that decision.
Cliff Mears is the chair of the GOP Central Committee and said the appointment of the new member to council won't be delayed by COVID-19, but likely won't take place in person.
