Richland County Elected Officials To Talk Revenue Impact From COVID-19

A meeting is set for next week with elected officials in Richland County to talk about local finances and the revenue impact from the COVID-19 pandemic.

RichlandSource.com reports, the Richland County Commissioners will meet with Auditor Pat Dropsey, Treasurer Bart Hamilton and others leaders, Tuesday morning, April 21st at 9:30 am. The public will be able to listen to the meeting by phone.

. Commissioner Marilyn John said it's important to have all of the elected officials in the "virtual room" for a discussion.

Richland County began 2020 with $4.8 million dollar carryover and a $1.3 million dollar rainy day fund.

Commissioner Darrell Banks said, Richland County might be in better shape than other counties.
