Downtown Mansfield Inc is still holding out hope for the Final Friday concert series to possibly still take place this year, that according to RichlandSource.com.
DMI CEO Jennifer Kime , said it's possible, we just have to keep waiting and see.
Finances could be one obstacle for the concerts, which have been going on for 11 years,as sponsor money for the concerts will be a challenge due to the coronavirus.
Also, DMI had a portion of its funding pulled because the city of Mansfield needed the money to purchase two police cruisers.
DMI said last year an average of 5,000 people attended the Final Friday Concerts downtown, which are tentatively scheduled to start on May 29th and would take place on the final Friday through September.
