A lot of blood drives around the area have been canceled due the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rodney Wilson with the American Red Cross says they are in need of blood and encourages people to donate.
Wilson says they have added additional hours at blood drive offices and they are asking people to make an appointment so they can control the amount of people at each site.
