Mansfield's water meter replacement plan is getting closer, as Council President Cliff Mears says sometime this month a flyer or booklet will be mailed out to homes that will have their meter's replaced. A test of the system will be done in mid April and the full replacement of water meter's will start to take place in May. Mears said the information residents will receive will explain how the project works. Mansfield pumps over 9 million gallons of water a day, but is billing for just under 4 million. Mansfield is losing $100,000 in revenue per month with the old meter's.
