A vandal protection fence will go over the 5th ave and Trimble road bridges, which will also have Mansfield on both sides. This is apart of the ODOT Route 30 Improvement project that will start this fall.
The decorative fence will also protect drivers below. Council President Cliff Mears said the fence and lettering will let drivers know when they enter the city. Mansfield will only pay 10% of the $554,000 price tag. ODOT and other grants will cover the remaining cost.
