Mansfield City Council has approved to start taking bids on the replacement of the North Lake Park Bridge, which is over 100 years old. Council President Cliff Mears says a $500,000 grant will cover most of the cost to rebuild the bridge with sandstone. Construction should begin this fall and will close it for 9 months.
