Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced this week that the Metrich Drug Task Force will be one of many local law enforcement agencies across the state to receive money to help snarl the drug trade. The Metrich Task Force covers 10 area counties, which includes Richland, Ashland Crawford and Knox Counties. Metrich is set to receive $240,000 towards its operations. A total of $2 million in grants was handed out by the Governor.
