Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund Gives $22,000 To Richland County Residents

Richland County Breast Cancer patients and survivors received more assistance in 2019 than ever before thanks to the combined efforts of the Richland County community and the Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund.

Fund Founder Dave Kracker has proudly reported that the Fund processed over fifty requests for financial assistance to area breast cancer patients and their families in 2019. “We increased our help 100% over last year and gave out $22,500 in financial aid,” says Dave.

The Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund fights breast cancer in Richland County. It was established in memory of Pat Kracker, a Richland County resident who lost her battle with breast cancer on her 61st birthday.

“Our ability to help more people in 2019 was due to the phenomenal people of Richland County who committed their time and monies to fight local breast cancer,” says Rhonda Breit, Pat Kracker Chairperson. “Our volunteer advisory committee, fundraising organizations, individual donors, and our local media all contributed to help navigate the tidal wave of emotions and financial pain caused by this deadly disease here in Richland County.”

The Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund attended, spoke, exhibited, and participated in fourteen separate Richland County events in 2019. Plus, there were twelve organizations that held fundraisers for the Fund, and multiple individual and organizations who donated to the Fund’s breast cancer fight. The Fund also conducted an early detection campaign with the help of Richland County media.

“We are expecting to make even a greater difference in Richland County in 2020,” says Rhonda.
