A native of the Dayton area, Stan earned his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree from Bowling Green State University. An assistant football coach at Ashland University for 10 years, Stan then served 28 years with Mansfield City Schools as a teacher, head football and track coach and Senior High assistant principal and principal. In 2004 Stan began 13 years of service to The Ohio State University football program, first as associate director of football operations, then as director of player development. He served with head coaches Jim Tressel and Urban Meyer. In May 2019 the Mansfield City Schools Board of Education announced Stan’s appointment as district superintendent. He began work officially on Aug. 1, 2019.
