The Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development today announced three local women have been selected as finalists for the 2020 ATHENA Award in Richland County. The Award, which is being sponsored by Richland Bank, will be handed out at the Chamber Annual Meeting & Dinner on January 30, 2020.
The ATHENA finalists for 2020 are Michele Gorman, Dean of Students at The Richland School of Academic Arts, Kristie Massa, Central Marketing & Communication for Park National Bank, and Zoi Romanchuk, President of PR Machine Works and Owner of Slick Automated Solutions.
“The ATHENA award is an internationally recognized brand whose recipients are honored for professional excellence, community service and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills,” said Jodie Perry, CEO of the Chamber. “Our three finalists have all made a unique impact on our community all the while achieving outstanding professional distinction. We are very excited to recognize their achievement!”
The Richland Area Chamber became the new home for the ATHENA Award in 2016 after being given out by the TWIN (A Tribute to Women & Industry) Committee in Richland County since 1989. The nominations were reviewed by a panel of past ATHENA Award recipients who then selected the three finalists and the recipient, who will be announced at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting.
In addition to the ATHENA Award, the Richland Community Development Group and Richland Young Professionals will be giving out several Economic Excellence Awards.
The dinner will be held on Thursday, January 30that the Kehoe Center in Shelby. A cocktail hour kicks off at 5:30pm and dinner, which is being catered by The Vault Wine Bar, will be served at 6:30pm.
