Mansfield Police Investigate New Years Day Shooting On North Walnut Street

The Mansfield Division of Police responded to the area of 111 North Walnut Street on January 1, 2020 at approximately 1:08 PM after receiving a call in reference to a person being shot.

Upon arrival, patrol officers made contact with Kenneth McCall (B/M, 40 years old) who was suffering from a gun shot wound. Mr. McCall advised he had been shot outside the place of occurrence. Mr. McCall was transported to an area hospital for treatment of what is believed to be a non-life threating wound. Witnesses at the scene advised officers that they had heard several shots and a white car speed away from the area. Witnesses stated that Mr. McCall was in a verbal argument with the driver of the white car prior to being shot. A search warrant was served on the building at 111 and 113 North Walnut Street and certain evidence was collected from the building. A vehicle was also seized from the location and taken into evidence.
