Ownership Of Nine Mansfield Parks Could Go To The City Land Bank.

A meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 7th, to discuss the ownership of nine Mansfield parks to the City Land Bank. According to richlandsource.com, city parks and recreation department manager Mark Abrams, told land bank members his staff cannot continue to handle upkeep and maintenance for more than 30 city parks. The announcement comes at a time when the city council is waiting on a master plan for the parks from the city's administration. Funding for the city parks comes from the PRIDE tax, which generates about $816,000 annually for the parks system.
